Winnie Archer is the pen name of Melissa Bourbon Ramirez, a national bestselling author of seventeen mystery novels. Her works include the Lola Cruz Mysteries, A Magical Dressmaking Mystery series, and the Bread Shop Mysteries. A former middle school English teacher, Melissa transitioned from the classroom to pursue a full-time life in her imagination. A native Californian, she has lived in Texas, Colorado, and now resides in the southeast. When not writing, Melissa enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, cooking, and exploring local restaurants in the Carolinas. Her family, including her husband, Carlos, a fellow educator, and their three children, is scattered across the country, leaving her to be kept company by her three dogs, Bean, Dobby, and Jasper.
