William Deverell Books in Order

William Deverell is a multifaceted writer and lawyer, born in 1937 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He has spent his career navigating the intersection of law and journalism, having worked as a journalist for the Canadian Press, Vancouver Sun, and Saskatoon Star-Phoenix to put himself through law school. As a seasoned lawyer, Deverell has served as counsel for over a thousand criminal cases, while also making significant contributions to the B.C. Civil Liberties Association as a founding director and former president. His creative pursuits have led to the creation of the television series Street Legal, as well as numerous screenplays and radio plays. Deverell currently resides on Pender Island, British Columbia. His notable works have earned him prestigious awards, including the Arthur Ellis Award for Trial of Passion in 1998 and April Fool in 2006.
