His diverse background spans various careers, including deckhand, commercial fisherman, divemaster, taxi driver, construction manager, and truck driver. Currently residing in the picturesque Sea Islands near Beaufort, South Carolina, with his wife and youngest daughter, he is surrounded by a loving family that includes three grown children, five grandchildren, and a menagerie of three dogs and numerous parakeets. Born in Melbourne, Florida, Stinnett has also called the Florida Keys and Cozumel, Mexico, home.
