Tom Franklin Books in Order

Tom Franklin is a celebrated American author, born and raised in Dickinson, Alabama. His writing career took shape in South Alabama, where he held various jobs, including working as a heavy-equipment operator in a grit factory, a construction inspector in a chemical plant, and a clerk in a hospital morgue. He holds an MFA from the University of Arkansas, received in 1997. Franklin's notable works include <i>Poachers</i>, named Best First Book of Fiction by <i>Esquire</i>, and the Edgar Award-winning title story in 1999. His novels, <i>Hell at the Breech</i> (2003) and <i>Smonk</i> (2006), showcase his mastery of the craft. A recipient of the 2001 Guggenheim Fellowship, Franklin currently teaches in the University of Mississippi's MFA program and resides in Oxford, Mississippi with his wife and children.
