Todd Moss Books in Order
Todd Moss, a seasoned diplomat and novelist, draws on his extensive experience inside the U.S. Government to craft compelling stories of modern-day diplomacy. As Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, he negotiated with the junta leader General Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz in Mauritania, an experience that inspired his debut novel, THE GOLDEN HOUR. This gripping tale, originally inspired by the 2008 coup d'état in Mauritania, was later echoed in real-life events, as President Amadou Toumani Touré of Mali was overthrown in a coup, followed by a Tuareg separatist and Islamist extremist takeover. Moss's sequel, MINUTE ZERO, explores the tumultuous world of Zimbabwean politics, released in September 2015. He has also penned several non-fiction books on African development and economics. As Senior Fellow and Chief Operating Officer at the Center for Global Development, a Washington DC-based think-tank, Moss continues to share his expertise, teaching at Georgetown University, the London School of Economics, and the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies, while residing in Maryland with his family.
