Todd McCaffrey Books in Order
Todd J. McCaffrey, an Irish American science fiction author, is renowned for his continuation of the iconic Dragonriders of Pern series in collaboration with his mother, Anne McCaffrey. Born on April 27, 1956, in Montclair, New Jersey, McCaffrey is the middle child of Horace Wright Johnson and the celebrated author Anne McCaffrey. Growing up, he was exposed to the world of science fiction, with his mother's writing career taking off around the same time he discovered the genre, thanks to Ruthven Todd's Space Cat series. As a child, McCaffrey attended his first science fiction convention, Lunacon in New York City, in 1968. His mother's dedication to him in the novel Decision at Doona (1969) reflects their close relationship and her influence on his writing career.
