Timothy Hallinan is a prolific thriller and mystery novelist with a diverse array of published works. He divides his time between Los Angeles and Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand, where he has lived on and off for over twenty years. Currently based in Santa Monica, California, Hallinan writes two prominent series: The Poke Rafferty Bangkok Thrillers and the Junior Bender Mysteries.
