Steve Alten Books in Order

Steve Alten is a prolific author of thriller and science fiction novels. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he pursued higher education at Penn State University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, followed by a Master's degree in Sports Medicine from the University of Delaware and a Doctorate of Education from Temple University. With a strong desire to support his family, he turned to writing, pouring his heart and soul into his first novel, MEG; A Novel of Deep Terror. After selling his car to cover editing fees, Alten's perseverance paid off when his agent secured a two-book, seven-figure deal with Bantam Doubleday in 1996. The success of MEG catapulted Alten to international recognition, with the novel becoming the top book at the 1996 Frankfurt book fair and selling in over 20 countries. The book also dominated major best-seller lists, including the New York Times list, and inspired a popular radio series in Japan. Since then, Alten has continued to captivate readers with a string of best-sellers, including The TRENCH, DOMAIN, RESURRECTION, and GOLIATH, which has been adapted into a TV series. His most recent novel, MEG: Primal Waters, solidifies his reputation as a master of the thriller genre.
