Stephen King Books in Order

Stephen King is a prolific American author, masterfully weaving tales of horror, suspense, and the supernatural. Born to Donald and Nellie Ruth Pillsbury King, he was the second son, with his older brother David. Following his father's departure when Stephen was two, his mother, Ruth, took on the responsibility of raising him and his brother in various locations, including Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Stratford, Connecticut. Eventually, they settled in Durham, Maine, where Ruth cared for her ailing parents. After graduating from Lisbon Falls High School in 1966, Stephen attended the University of Maine at Orono, where he wrote for the school newspaper and actively participated in student politics. He graduated in 1970 with a B.A. in English, and his draft board examination classified him as 4-F due to health issues. King's writing career took off in the 1970s with the publication of his debut novel, 'Carrie,' and he has since become one of the most successful authors of his generation, with over 60 novels and numerous short stories, screenplays, and essays to his credit.
