Stephen Greenleaf Books in Order

Stephen Greenleaf holds a B.A. from Carlton College and a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. A veteran of the United States Army, he served from 1967 to 1969 and was also admitted to the California Bar during that time, going on to hold numerous legal positions. Greenleaf honed his creative writing skills at the University of Iowa's prestigious Iowa Writers Workshop in 1978 and 1979. This marked the beginning of his successful writing career, with the publication of his first Tanner novel in 1979. To date, he has written fourteen John Marshall Tanner books, including his latest, Ellipse. Set against the backdrop of San Francisco, Greenleaf's novels have become synonymous with the city's unique atmosphere. He currently resides in northern California with his wife, Ann.
