Stephan Pastis Books in Order

Stephan Pastis is a renowned cartoonist and attorney, born in 1968 and raised in San Marino, California. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 1989 with a degree in political science. Pastis pursued a law career, practicing in the San Francisco Bay area from 1993 to 2002, while concurrently developing his passion for cartooning. He submitted numerous comic strip concepts to syndicates, receiving a steady stream of rejections, but persevering. In 1997, Pastis began creating Pearls Before Swine, which he submitted to syndicates in 1999, ultimately signing a contract with United in 1999. His debut of Pearls Before Swine in 2002 marked the beginning of a successful career, earning him multiple nominations and awards from the National Cartoonists Society, including Best Newspaper Comic Strip in 2004 and 2007.
