Stef Penney is a versatile writer and filmmaker who has made a significant impact on the literary and film industries. Having studied Philosophy and Theology at Bristol University, she began her career in film-making, creating three short films before pursuing a degree in Film and TV at Bournemouth College of Art. Her talent and dedication earned her a spot in the prestigious Carlton Television New Writers Scheme upon graduation. Penney's film experience is evident in her writing, as seen in her critically acclaimed short films, including a BBC 10 x 10 starring Anna Friel and a Film Council Digital Short in 2002 starring Lucy Russell.
