Stav Sherez is a British novelist, born in 1970. He grew up in London and attended the prestigious Latymer Upper School and the University of Leeds. A prolific writer, Sherez's debut novel, The Devil's Playground, was published in 2004 by Penguin Books, earning him a coveted spot on the CWA John Creasey Dagger shortlist. He continued to hone his craft with his second novel, The Black Monastery, released in 2009 by Faber & Faber. Sherez's writing expertise extends beyond fiction; from 1999 to 2004, he contributed to the music magazine Comes with a Smile, showcasing his versatility. Currently, he serves as the literary editor of the Catholic Herald, a position he has held since December 2006, solidifying his influence in the literary world.
