Sister Souljah Books in Order

Sister Souljah is a renowned author, activist, and artist whose work spans multiple mediums. Born Lisa Williamson in 1964, she hails from New York City. Educated at Cornell University's prestigious advanced placement summer program and the University of Salamanca's study-abroad program, Sister Souljah went on to major in American history and African studies at Rutgers University. Her extensive travels and lectures have taken her across America, Europe, and Africa, solidifying her presence as a thought leader. As a pioneering figure, she founded the African Youth Survival Camp in Enfield, North Carolina, in the mid-1980s. Her breakout success came in 1992 with the release of her rap album, <em>360 Degrees of Power</em>, and its accompanying video, "Slavery's Back in Effect." Today, Sister Souljah resides in New York with her husband and son.
