Shana Abe Books in Order

Shana Abé is a Texas-born author with a diverse background, having spent formative years in Colorado, Mexico, and Japan, where she modeled and developed a lifelong passion for storytelling. As a teenager, Abé began writing romance novels, drawing inspiration from her favorite books. She went on to attend college in Los Angeles, graduating with a degree in drama. Abé's writing career gained momentum when her second novel, a contemporary romance, placed third in a writing contest. Undeterred by industry expectations, she transitioned to historical romances, publishing her debut novel, A Rose in Winter, with Bantam Books. Set in medieval times, this book marked the beginning of Abé's affinity for the period, which she finds both grand and gritty. She has since become a prominent voice in historical romance, earning recognition for her work, including the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award.
