Samuel Shem is a renowned physician, novelist, and playwright, best known for his critically acclaimed and bestselling novel, The House of God. As a Rhodes Scholar, he has spent over three decades on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, where he also founded the Bill W. and Dr. Bob Project in the Division on Addictions. Shem's work spans multiple genres, and he continues to be a prominent voice in the medical and literary communities.
