Rod Duncan is a versatile author who seamlessly navigates genres from crime to fantasy. Prior to embarking on a writing career, he spent time in scientific research and computing, eventually settling in Leicester. Notably, his first novel, Backlash, earned a spot on the John Creasey Memorial Award shortlist, now known as the CWA Debut Dagger. He has since written four crime novels before transitioning to fantasy, where his work, The Bullet Catcher's Daughter, garnered a Philip K. Dick Award nomination. Currently, Duncan is crafting a series of alternate history books, 'The Map of Unknown Things'. As a testament to his creative range, he also works as a screenwriter, with credits including the feature film Zombie Undead.
