Roberto Bolaño Books in Order
Roberto Bolaño, a renowned Chilean writer, traverses the globe, leaving a trail of literary masterpieces in his wake. Born with a restless spirit, he roams through Chile, Mexico, El Salvador, France, and Spain, shaping his identity and honing his craft. In 1977, he relocates to Europe, finally settling in Spain on the picturesque Mediterranean coast near Barcelona, where he works as a dishwasher, campground custodian, bellhop, and garbage collector, fueling his nocturnal writing sessions. As a poet, Bolaño's voice echoes through the years, but it's his turn to fiction in his early forties that garners international attention. A provocative figure in his native Chile, Bolaño's biting critiques of the literary establishment earn him notoriety.
