Phoef Sutton Books in Order

Phoef Sutton is a multi-talented writer, director, and producer who began his career as an actor and playwright in college. As an undergraduate at James Madison University in Virginia, he won the prestigious Norman Lear Award for Comedy Playwriting, one of the few undergraduates to do so. Following graduation, his plays were produced at various regional theaters, and he was awarded a National Endowment for Arts Playwrights Fellowship. Sutton's breakthrough in television came when he joined the NBC show CHEERS, working his way up to executive producer over eight years, earning two Emmys and a Writer’s Guild Award. He has since produced and created numerous television shows, including NEWS RADIO and BOSTON LEGAL, for which he won a Peabody Award, a GLAAD award, and a Television Academy Honors award. Sutton has also directed the critically acclaimed short film 'TIL DEATH, which premiered at various international film festivals and won prizes at the Garden State Festival.
