Philip Roth Books in Order

Philip Roth is a celebrated American novelist known for his provocative and deeply personal works of fiction. He rose to early literary acclaim with the 1959 collection <i>Goodbye, Columbus</i>, which won the 1960 National Book Award. This breakthrough was followed by the 1969 bestseller <i>Portnoy's Complaint</i>, and a string of critically-acclaimed novels featuring his fictional alter ego, Nathan Zuckerman. The Zuckerman novels, beginning with <i>The Ghost Writer</i> in 1979, include the Pulitzer Prize-winning <i>American Pastoral</i> (1997).
