Peter Watt is a versatile author whose diverse life experiences have shaped his writing career. A soldier, solicitor's clerk, prawn trawler deckhand, builder's labourer, pipe layer, real estate salesman, private investigator, and police sergeant, he has also advised the Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary. His extensive travels and interactions with Aborigines, Islanders, Vietnamese, and Papua New Guineans have significantly influenced his understanding of cultures. A polyglot, Peter speaks, reads, and writes Vietnamese and Pidgin, and has a strong command of English. He currently resides in Maclean, on the Clarence River in Northern NSW. When not writing, Peter enjoys good friends, fine food, fishing, and exploring the vast open spaces of outback Queensland. He is an active member of the Australian Institute of Management, the Australian Institute of Training and Development, and the Australian Society of Authors, and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Tasmania, a Post Graduate Diploma of Training & Development from the University of New England, and an Associate Diploma of Justice Administration from Sturt University.
