Peter Darman Books in Order

Peter Darman is a historian and author with a passion for military history, particularly the English Civil War. Born and raised in Grantham, Lincolnshire, he excelled in his studies, passing the Eleven Plus exam to attend the prestigious King's Grammar School. Darman's early interest in military history was sparked by an essay on Oliver Cromwell, which marked the beginning of his writing career. He went on to earn a BA in history and international relations from Nottingham and a Master of Philosophy from the University of York, where he researched the generalship and cavalry of Prince Rupert of the Rhine. Darman's experiences at York, Oxford, and the British Library in London laid the foundation for his writing career, which began when he joined a small publishing company as an editor in London.
