Penny Junor is a British author, renowned for her insightful biographies on the British Royal Family and other prominent figures. Educated at Benenden School in Kent and the University of St Andrews, she pursued a career in journalism, working for the Evening Standard and contributing a column to Private Eye. Junor has written extensively on the Royal Family, including biographies of Diana, Princess of Wales, Charles, Prince of Wales, and Charles and Diana: Portrait of a Marriage. Her work on the Waleses has been widely acclaimed, although it reportedly strained relations with both Charles and Diana. Junor has also written about other notable figures, such as Margaret Thatcher, Richard Burton, and George Harrison, and has co-authored memoirs with Pattie Boyd and assisted Sir Cliff Richard in writing his bestselling autobiography.
