Penelope Lively Books in Order
Penelope Lively is a celebrated author of prize-winning novels and short-story collections, recognized for her contributions to both adult and children's literature. Twice a Booker Prize finalist, she was shortlisted in 1977 for her debut novel, <i>The Road to Lichfield</i>, and again in 1984 for <i>According to Mark</i>. She later secured the 1987 Booker Prize for her acclaimed novel <i>Moon Tiger</i>. Lively's diverse body of work includes novels such as <i>Going Back</i>, <i>Judgement Day</i>, <i>City of the Mind</i>, and <i>Cleopatra’s Sister</i>, as well as the memoir <i>Oleander, Jacaranda</i> and the autobiographical work <i>A House Unlocked</i>. She has also been honored with the Carnegie Medal and the Whitbread Award for her children's writing. A Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) since 2001 and a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) since 2012, Lively resides in London.
