Patricia Moyes is a renowned mystery novelist and screenwriter, born in Dublin on 19 January 1923. She was educated at Overstone girls' school in Northampton and joined the WAAF in 1939. Moyes's career took a dramatic turn in 1946 when she was hired by Peter Ustinov as a technical assistant on his film School for Secrets, a position she held for eight years.
