Dame Muriel Spark, DBE, is a renowned Scottish novelist, short story writer, and poet known for her darkly comedic voice, which has captivated readers for decades. Recognized as one of the most distinctive writers of the 20th century, Spark has earned a place among the greatest British writers since 1945, as listed by The Times in 2008.
