Michelle Paver is a renowned author, born in Central Africa and raised in England. With a degree in Biochemistry from Oxford University, she initially pursued a career in law as a partner in a City firm. However, her true passion for storytelling eventually led her to dedicate herself to writing full-time. Drawing from her lifelong interests in animals, anthropology, and ancient cultures, Paver's works often transport readers to the distant past. Her critically acclaimed <i>Chronicles of Ancient Darkness</i> series was inspired by a life-changing encounter with a bear in California, as well as her extensive travels to remote regions, including Finland, Greenland, and the Arctic.
