Michel Faber Books in Order

Michel Faber is a celebrated Dutch writer of English-language fiction. Born in The Hague, The Netherlands, in 1960, Faber's early life took a significant turn when his family emigrated to Australia in 1967. He spent his formative years in the Melbourne suburbs, attending primary and secondary school in Boronia and Bayswater before pursuing higher education at the University of Melbourne, where he studied a diverse range of subjects, including Dutch, Philosophy, Rhetoric, and English Literature. After graduating in 1980, Faber worked variously as a cleaner and a nurse, the latter profession taking him to Sydney's Marrickville and Western Suburbs hospitals. In 1993, he relocated to Scotland with his family, where he still resides today.
