Michael Moorcock Books in Order
Michael Moorcock is a renowned English writer, celebrated for his contributions to science fiction and fantasy. His early literary influences included The Gods of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Apple Cart by George Bernard Shaw, and The Constable of St. Nicholas by Edward Lester Arnold. Moorcock's career began at sixteen, when he became editor of Tarzan Adventures, followed by Sexton Blake Library. As editor of the influential British science fiction magazine New Worlds, from 1964 to 1971 and then again from 1976 to 1996, he championed the science fiction "New Wave" movement in the UK and had a profound impact on the genre in the United States. Moorcock's notable works include the Nebula award-winning novella Behold the Man, which explores the concept of Jesus Christ, and numerous other critically acclaimed novels. He is known for his use of pseudonyms, including James Colvin and William Barclay.
