Born to British parents in the US, she spent her formative years navigating between Texas and the UK, ultimately pursuing a degree in English Literature at an American university. This foundation laid the groundwork for a career that veered from international law to writing. As a former lawyer, Melinda has transitioned into a travel enthusiast and dedicated champion of children's literacy, supporting both domestic and international causes. Now residing just outside of Washington, DC, she shares her life with her husband, a whisky connoisseur, and their two remarkable daughters, along with their lovable but mischievous family dog, Macallen.
