Mary Sharratt is a novelist living in Lancashire, England, with her Belgian husband. Her acclaimed works often draw from historical contexts and her personal experiences. Her 2010 novel, DAUGHTERS OF THE WITCHING HILL, recasts the Pendle Witches of 1612 as cunning folk and healers, set in the region where she currently resides. This Lancashire setting also influenced her writing of other novels.
