After a successful career in administration at the University of California Los Angeles, she discovered a new creative outlet in writing. Her journey began with a love of quilting, which she honed over a decade of sewing and creating nearly one hundred unique quilts. This experience sparked her interest in writing, and she pursued classes at the UCLA Extension Writer's Program, where she developed a talent for crafting compelling mysteries. Her debut novel, FORGET ME KNOT, was a finalist in the 2011 Malice Domestic Competition, launching the Martha Rose quilting mystery series. An avid reader and reviewer of cozy mysteries, Mary's work appears in the New York Journal of Books online. With a background in Anthropology and Public Administration, she brings a unique perspective to her writing.
