Martin Prechtel Books in Order

Martín Prechtel is a visionary writer, teacher, and leading thinker celebrated for his innovative language and eloquent storytelling. As a half-blood Native American with a Pueblo Indian upbringing, his life has been shaped by experiences in both New Mexico and the Tzutujil Mayan community of Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala, where he earned full membership and served as a principal leader. He instructs young people in the ancient stories and rituals of their culture, guiding them in their journey to adulthood. Now residing in New Mexico, Martín teaches at Bolad's Kitchen, an international school, where he fosters a deeper connection to place and community through the universal language of story, music, and ritual.
