Martin Jensen is a bestselling Danish novelist born in 1946 into a working-class family. As a seasoned educator, he spent years teaching and serving as a headmaster in Sweden and Denmark before transitioning to a full-time writing career in 1996. Jensen's notable works include the historical novel "Frit gennem Jylland," which was re-released in 2011, and the 7-book series about byfoged Eske Litle and Assens in the 1300s, for which he received the Edvard Pedersens Biblioteksfonds Forfatterpris in 2009 and the Det Danske Kriminalakademis hæderspris. With a diverse range of writing styles, Jensen has penned five contemporary novels and several historical romances, such as "Soldaterhoren," "Tømrerens datter," and "Ravneflugt."
