Mario Acevedo Books in Order

Mario Acevedo is a multifaceted artist and writer with a diverse background that informs his creative endeavors. Born in El Paso, Texas, he spent his formative years in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and developed a strong connection to the Mexican-American culture through his family ties in Chihuahua. Before transitioning to the arts, Acevedo served in the US Army, where he flew attack helicopters and later distinguished himself as a combat artist in Operation Desert Storm. His experience as an artist-in-residence at Arte Americas in Fresno, California, has been complemented by his work as an educator, teaching art to prisoners at Avenal State Prison.
