Marcus Luttrell Books in Order

Marcus Luttrell is a former United States Navy SEAL, born and raised in Texas. He and his twin brother, Morgan, attended Sam Houston State University, where they began training for the Navy SEALs at age 14 under former United States Army soldier Billy Shelton. This early start laid the foundation for Luttrell's lifelong passion for martial arts and his determination to succeed. As a child, he developed a strong work ethic and resilience, as evident in his famous SEAL motto: "I will never quit. My nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight." Luttrell joined the United States Navy in March 1999 and underwent Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training, graduating as a team medic in 2001. He went on to serve in Operation Red Wing in 2005, a mission that would leave an indelible mark on his life and inspire his bestselling memoir, "Lone Survivor."
