Lish McBride is a celebrated Young Adult author known for her unique blend of humor and the supernatural. Her novels, including Hold Me Closer, Necromancer; Necromancing the Stone; Firebug; and Pyromantic, have captivated readers worldwide. Her short stories have been featured in prominent publications like Normal School, Tor.com, and the anthologies Cornered, What to Read in the Rain, Freaks & Other Family, and Kisses & Curses. McBride holds a BFA in creative writing from Seattle University and an MFA from the University of New Orleans. As a bookseller and event host at Third Place Books, she continues to nurture her passion for literature. Her critically acclaimed debut, Hold Me Closer, Necromancer, earned the ALA Best Book for Young Adults title, a Morris Award finalist, and the Scandiuzzi Children’s Book Award.
