Linn Ullmann is a highly acclaimed Norwegian author and journalist, daughter of actress and director Liv Ullmann and director Ingmar Bergman. She studied English literature at New York University before returning to Norway in 1990 to pursue a career in journalism. Ullmann's notable works include her debut novel "Before You Sleep" (1998) and "Stella Descending" (2001), which garnered widespread critical acclaim. Her subsequent novel "Grace" (2002) won the prestigious "Reader's Prize" in Norway and was named one of the year's top ten novels by the Danish newspaper "Weekendavisen." "Grace" also earned Ullmann the Norwegian Amalie Skram prize in 2007. Her other notable novels include "A Blessed Child" (2005), shortlisted for the Brage Price. As a journalist, Ullmann writes regularly for Norway's leading newspaper "Aftenposten."
