Lavie Tidhar is a versatile and prolific author, known for his eclectic blend of literary and genre-bending fiction. Born on a kibbutz in Israel, Tidhar's peripatetic upbringing has taken him to South Africa, the UK, Laos, and Vanuatu, informing his unique perspective on the world. As a poet and short story writer, Tidhar's early work laid the groundwork for his later successes. His debut collection, published in Hebrew in 1998, marked the beginning of a remarkable career.
