Laura Zigman is a critically acclaimed author and publishing industry veteran. Born and raised in Newton, Massachusetts, she graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and the Radcliffe Publishing Procedures Course. After ten years working in book publishing in New York, where she served as a publicist for several prominent publishing houses, she transitioned to Washington, D.C. to work as a project manager for The Smithsonian Associates and a consultant for the anti-poverty non-profit Share Our Strength.
