Larry Millett Books in Order

Larry Millett is a Minneapolis native and accomplished author, journalist, and architectural historian. He holds degrees from St. John's University and the University of Chicago. As a general assignment reporter for the St. Paul Pioneer Press since 1972, Millett has also served as the newspaper's first architecture critic, a position he obtained after studying at the University of Michigan. With a prolific writing career spanning over three decades, Millett has penned twelve nonfiction books, including the enduring classic Lost Twin Cities, which has remained in print for over twenty years. He has also ventured into mystery fiction, introducing the world of Sherlock Holmes to Minnesota in The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes and the Red Demon, the first of six novels featuring the iconic detective and his companions. Millett resides in St. Paul's historic West Seventh Street neighborhood with his wife, Jodie Ahern, a talented painter and freelance copy editor, who often collaborates as his writing partner.
