Lara Prescott is a critically acclaimed author known for her captivating storytelling. Her debut novel, THE SECRETS WE KEPT, was published in 2019 by Alfred A. Knopf (US) and Hutchinson (UK), and has since been translated into 29 languages. Prescott holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Michener Center for Writers at the University of Texas, which she earned in 2018. A native of Pennsylvania, she earned her undergraduate degree in political science from American University in Washington, D.C. Before transitioning to fiction, Prescott worked as a political campaign consultant. Her work has been featured in esteemed literary journals, including The Southern Review, The Hudson Review, and Crazyhorse. Currently, she resides in Austin, Texas.
