Laird Hunt is a critically acclaimed American writer, translator, and academic. Born of a global upbringing, Hunt's diverse experiences, having grown up in Singapore, San Francisco, The Hague, and London, profoundly influenced his literary voice. He settled in rural Indiana, where he attended Clinton Central High School, before pursuing higher education at Indiana University and the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Hunt's studies also took him to the Sorbonne, where he delved into French literature. As a writer, he has made a name for himself with his novels, while working as a professor in the Creative Writing program at the University of Denver. Laird Hunt lives with his wife, the poet Eleni Sikelianos, in Boulder, Colorado, where they continue to nurture his passion for storytelling.
