Laila Lalami is a critically acclaimed author, born in Rabat and educated in Morocco, Great Britain, and the United States. Her novels, including <i>Hope and Other Dangerous Pursuits</i>, <i>Secret Son</i>, and <i>The Moor's Account</i>, have garnered numerous accolades: the latter won the American Book Award, the Arab-American Book Award, and the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award, and was a finalist for the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
