Kieran Larwood is a renowned children's author, best known for his captivating novel, Freaks. He was the winner of the prestigious Times/Chicken House Children's Fiction Competition in 2011. As a devoted teacher, Larwood brings his unique blend of creativity and patience to his work, drawing from his experience as one of only two male Reception class teachers on the Isle of Wight. His days are filled with a mix of teaching, storytelling, and administrative tasks. Larwood holds a degree in English from Southampton University and a foundation year in art from Falmouth College of Art. His love for storytelling began at a young age, sparked by his childhood reading of The Hobbit. He currently resides on the Isle of Wight with his family, where he continues to pursue his dream of writing full-time.
