Katya Apekina Books in Order

Katya Apekina is a multifaceted writer and translator. Her short stories have been featured in esteemed publications such as The Iowa Review, Santa Monica Review, West Branch, Joyland, PANK, and others, while her work earned a notable mention in Best American Nonrequired Reading 2013. Apekina has also demonstrated her versatility through translation work, notably for Night Wraps the Sky: Writings by and about Mayakovsky, a collection shortlisted for the Best Translated Book Award by Farrar, Straus, and Giroux in 2008. Additionally, she co-wrote the screenplay for the feature film New Orleans, Mon Amour, which premiered at SXSW in 2008. A native of Moscow, Apekina currently resides in Los Angeles.
