Katie Ruggle lives on the edge of adventure, drawing inspiration from her rugged upbringing in the Rocky Mountains. A graduate of the Police Academy, she's also a certified ice-rescuer, having braved the icy waters of Colorado's mountain reservoirs. When she's not conjuring worlds through her writing, Katie channels her inner adrenaline junkie, riding horses, training her three dogs, cross-country skiing (with questionable skill), and scuba diving in warmer climates. Her diverse background in Krav Maga, boxing, and gymnastics fuels her writing with a sense of grit and determination.
