Kate Ross Books in Order

Kate Ross, a celebrated American mystery author, crafts intricate stories set in Regency-era England. Her notable works include the Julian Kestrel series, which follows the charismatic dandy Julian Kestrel through four novels: Cut to the Quick, A Broken Vessel, Whom the Gods Love, and The Devil in Music. The latter earned her the 1997 Agatha Award for Best Novel. Additionally, her short story, The Lullaby Thief, is featured in the Crime Through Time anthology. Outside of her writing career, Ross was a successful trial lawyer, working for the Boston law firm Sullivan & Worcester. A graduate of Wellesley College and Yale Law School, Kate Ross left an indelible mark on the literary world before her passing in 1998.
