Kate Horsley is an American author, educator, and hospice worker, deeply rooted in her passion for storytelling. Born in Richmond, Virginia in 1952, she nurtured her love for reading under the guidance of her mother, Alice Horsley Parker, who instilled in her the values of education, refinement, and passion. Horsley's formative years were marked by her involvement in the Civil Rights movement and her protests against the Vietnam War, experiences that would later influence her writing. Her novels, inspired by the lives of ordinary people in extraordinary times, have been dedicated to her loved ones, including her late son Aaron. With over twenty years of teaching college English in New Mexico, Horsley continues to weave stories that captivate readers and honor the people who have shaped her life.
