After excelling in English at school, Cann pursued two degrees in English and American Literature at Kent University, where she met her husband, with whom she shares a lifelong connection. Following her time at Kent, Cann embarked on a career in publishing, working as a copy-editor at Time Life Books, where she balanced her glamorous job with aerobics classes and the occasional afternoon nap. As a freelance editor, the birth of her children sparked a new creative path, and she began writing her own stories, driven by a desire to authentically portray teenage relationships. With her debut works, Cann has captivated readers with her unique voice and perspective.
